About

My name is Joy.

I have entered the winter stage of my life’s journey and my current challenge is to complete the 790 kms of the El Camino. I have started this blog so family and friends can follow my footsteps and share in this journey with me.

This will be a Work In Progress or WIP as we call it in the office. So, please join me as I share this journey with you, covering the good, the bad and the ugly.

My mission is to find at least one joyful moment in each day.

The El Camino was completed on October 11, 2012. As I reflect, it is hard to believe that I did walk and ride that distance over 41 days.

At present, I am back to my every day routine in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Marysville, BC. I enjoy exploring my backyard by hiking, gardening and photography. I still strive to find joy, bliss and laughter each a every day and as with any journey, some days it is a struggle.

This blog will still be a WIP. As I evolve and learn more about the world of blogging, this blog will improve. Enjoy this blog … an everyday journey about joy.

Bravo, Joy! I began my own blog for exactly the same reasons: well into my own ‘winter season’ and training for a trek in Iceland, so blogging to keep my supporters informed as I trained and trekked. Also like you, I continue to blog, it has become part of how I live my life and relate to the world. All this means I am even more complimented that you choose to follow my blog. I will enjoy living your adventures with you as well.
