We have all experienced those “moments in time” where we see a picture, hear a song or a phrase is read and we are taken back to a moment in time to a place, a person or an activity that created a very special memory and thinking about that moment makes you smile and provides a moment of joy.
Today was just a relaxing statutory holiday. Late rising, lingering over the second cup of coffee and curled up on the couch with my nose stuck in a book trying to solve the who-dun-it before I reached the end.
I needed exercise and headed to the pool to swim my 30 laps and sit in the hot tub to relax after the swim. I have to pay 25 cents for a locker and usually, because I am a regular, I get # 27. Today, I greeted Ann, handed over my 25 cents, took the locker key given and made my way to the change room.
When I looked at my locker key, it was # 43. Immediately, this number put a smile on my face. In high school, my daughter JoAnna’s world revolved around this number. It was her favorite. If she had to choose a number for anything, it was # 43. I do not remember the significance or why it was important, but just seeing that locker number 43 made me smile and think of JoAnna. I sent a happy thought to her, wishing her a happy holiday, giving love and an affirmation for health, happiness and joy.
Next time you have “a moment in time” send a blessing to that person who put a smile on your face. A blessing wishing them health, peace, happiness and joy.
